Playstation have just released there latest version of the PS3 games console. This is called the Playstation 3 Slim, and as you can guess by the name of it, the new Playstation 3 is much smaller than the previous model. In fact, its is 2/3rds the size. The internal design of the new PS3 Slim system, from the main semiconductors and power supply unit, to the cooling mechanism, has been completely redesigned. Compared to the very first PS3 model with 60GB HDD, the internal volume as well as its thickness and weight are trimmed down to approximately two-thirds. Furthermore, power consumption is also cut to two-thirds, helping to reduce fan noise which comes from the console. Below, is a list of some of the cool features of the new PS3 Slim games console.

The PS3 Slim sports a fully featured Blu-Ray disc player so that movies and games can be enjoyed at full Hi-Def resolution via the on-board HDMI port.
