RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is a strategy based computer simulation game developed by Frontier Developments and published by Atari worldwide. The game was released on October 26, 2004 in North America and more than 6 million units have been sold till date in the continent. As the title suggests it is the third installment in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series which has been widely applauded by all the game reviewers and critics. As a player it is your duty to manage all the aspects of an amusement park. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 provides 2 different types of gameplay: career mode and sandbox mode. In Career mode, some predefined objectives are put in the players way which they must complete in order to move to the next level. Sandbox mode allows players to create their own custom parks and do whatever they wish to without worrying for the time or objectives.
The success of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 has encouraged the Atari to step in the sequel as well which has been announced already.
