Meet Sam Fisher In Daylight In Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction Xbox 360

With the release date looming the long awaited Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction has been tested and tried, reviewed and previewed by some of the biggest names in the gaming world. The general consensus is that this 6th installment of Splinter Cell for Xbox 360 breathes new life into a series that was getting a bit stale. Sam Fisher is coming out of hiding, in a way. Players will see Sam outdoors, in daylight and amongst crowds as he maneuvers through this new challenge that is facing him.

Elite agent Sam Fisher working for the NSA has always had to sneak into various facilities to battle terrorists, dictators and tyrants. While this provided plenty of stealth action game play, after 5 games it was getting kind of tired. Well be ready because Splinter Cell Conviction still has Sam Fisher, but now he is a fugitive on the run. In the last game of the series “Double Agent” Sam went undercover in order to bring down a terrorist organization. Through the twists and turns of the game Sam ends up being perceived as a bad guy. The game ends with Sam on the run from the FBI, NSA and police with a “To Be Continued” message across the screen.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction is set two years after the end of “Double Agent”. Sam is now hiding out and no longer wears his high tech Splinter Cell suit, he sports street clothes and a hoodie as well as shaggy black hair and a full beard. The new appearance is to help Sam blend in with the citizens in D.C. as he searches for evidence that will exonerate him. Sam moves through Washington D.C. hiding amongst the people and searching for the key to his freedom.

While Splinter Cell Conviction is still a stealth action game, the stakes have changed. Sam is no longer hiding from the crowds; instead he is forced to try to blend in. Known as active stealth the idea of hiding in plain sight in crowds, under tables etc. lets players manipulate a lot more of the surrounding environment in the game.

This entirely new strategy and game play theory gives Conviction the feel of a whole new game, a big departure from the previous games in the series. The multiplayer modes have been kept under wraps but Ubisoft promises many new modes including Last Stand for addictive multiplayer challenges.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction has a slick interface which will ensure that players stay in the action. The graphics and design have advanced along with the series over the years, and this new version features a lot more daylight and outdoor scenery. At the moment Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction is set to release for Xbox 360 on April 13, 2010. The download is set to include the full game as well as all of the multiplayer modes, maps and options. Splinter Cell Conviction for Xbox 360 has been given a Mature rating just like its predecessors in the series.
